John Stanton says " he and I spent a lot of time together talking about if we could possibly create a carrier that uses Wi-Fi . ' John Stanton adds that " this idea was part of his vision for the iPhone ».
Steve Jobs claimed that Apple iPhone does not have software for carriers, even if it were part of the process of creating the phone, so all orchestrated experiences and smartphone software for the AT & T just had to sell it.
Jobseventually abandoned the idea of ??creating their own operator in 2007, and focused on cooperation with AT & T .
